Who We Are
The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass (CACBG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the trauma experienced by child victims of sexual abuse. The organization provides a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child sexual abuse cases across 17 Central Kentucky counties. Each year, nearly 600 children come to the Center for forensic interviews, medical examinations, counseling and support. All services are provided in a nurturing, friendly and safe environment at no cost to a child’s family. The Children’s Advocacy Center also offers education and training to improve community response to child sexual abuse.
The CACBG provides a child-friendly setting where a skilled team of professionals come together to:
- Investigate the allegations in an unbiased, supportive location
- Provide therapeutic support
- Offer victim assistance services
The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass serves the 17 Central Kentucky counties: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott and Woodford counties.
