When a report of sexual abuse is made, several agencies become involved in the investigation and treatment of the child. This can be frightening and confusing to families and children. The Children’s Advocacy Center coordinates the services of medical, mental health, prosecution, law enforcement and social workers under one roof to ensure that children are protected and treated with respect.
