Children’s Advocacy Center Receives National Distinction

The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass has been recognized by the National Children’s Alliance as one of the nation’s premier advocacy centers following an extensive application and site review process.

As the accrediting agency for child advocacy centers (CAC) across the country, National Children’s Alliance awards various levels of accreditation and membership to centers that respond to allegations of child abuse in ways that are effective and efficient, and put the needs of child victims of abuse first. The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass received full accreditation, the highest level of membership with National Children’s Alliance which denotes excellence in service provision.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass coordinates the investigation and treatment of the most serious cases of child abuse in 17 Central Kentucky counties, providing all the services a child and family needs when an allegation of child abuse is made. Last year the Center helped more than 750 children and families impacted by child abuse.

As an Accredited Member of National Children’s Alliance, the Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate services to victims of child abuse.

National Children’s Alliance awards Accredited Membership based on a CACs compliance with 10 national standards of accreditation to ensure effective, efficient and consistent delivery of services to child abuse victims.
