Open Position(s):

Child and Family Advocate – CACBG seeks a positive, energetic, talented and flexible individual to provide family advocacy services to support child victims of abuse and their caregivers. The advocate’s primary responsibilities will include working with the non-offending caregiver to provide support, information, and coordinate services. This individual will also be an important part of a multidisciplinary team with law enforcement, DCBS, and community partners. The advocate will assist with coordination of multidisciplinary team meetings. The advocate will be the CACBG representative on the multidisciplinary teams and is responsible for relaying the family’s experiences, needs and concerns. CACBG’s family advocates are often the first point of contact for victims of child abuse and their caregivers. The focus of victim support and advocacy is to help reduce trauma for the child and family members and to improve case outcomes. Family advocates help caregivers identify and access needed services and encourage their participation in the investigation, prosecution, treatment, and supportive services for families.
