Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are important to the Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, and we are always looking for those who have an interest in getting involved. Due to the nature of our work, we are unable to provide direct service volunteer opportunities. However, we are able to accommodate both individual and group volunteers for facility clean-up projects such as yard work, organization of our emergency resource closet, and cleaning of our waiting areas.

Do you have a unique idea of how you or your organization could get involved? Reach out to Taylor Ballinger, Development Director, at taylor@kykids.org.

Student Internships

The Children’s Advocacy Center accepts student interns for college practicum courses requiring fifteen or more hours per week. Student interns are supervised by a Masters level social worker. Anyone interested in an internship at the CAC may contact Lindsey Burns at lindsey@kykids.org to request an interview. A copy of your ID is necessary to conduct the required background check before beginning any service at the CAC.
